Two children were killed after their bicycles collided with a train in the Thalpe area of Galle, sources stated.

The two children were aged 10 and 11 years while they were struck by a train traveling from Anuradhapura to Matara.

The incident took place this afternoon (December 5) when the two children attempted to cross the railway tracks on their bicycles, witnesses stated.
