A heroin dealer who sold drugs to addicts by keeping driving licences and other valuable items as surety or purchasing valuables at prices below their actual value, was arrested by officers of the Kandy Fraud Bureau along with seven mobile phones, five driving licences, a gold chain, a laptop computer and other items.

The man was arrested following a tip-off. The Police said investigations revealed that drug addicts had purchased their drugs from him by keeping robbed items with him or selling them for lower prices.

Two other suspects who had purchased the drug from him were also arrested later with four packets of heroin in their possession.
