Two persons were arrested in the Madinnagoda area of Welikada for possessing illegal alcohol, police stated. The value of the illegal alcohol in their possession amounted to more than Rs.100,000 police reported.
The raid was carried out by group of officers attached to the Police STF of the Rajagiriya camp.
The suspects were both residents of the Rajagiriya area while they were handed over to the Welikada Police for further investigations.
